The topic is Healthcare and Obama Care. This seminar will discuss Medicare Basics including parts A, B, C, D, 2014 Benefits of multiple Medicare plans, the new health insurance marketplace by Covered California, and how health reform is affecting Medicare and the prescription "donut hole" in 2014. Come out and watch as we light up the festively decorated trees from each of the districts! After we turn on the lights for the holidays, stop in the ballroom and enjoy hot cider, coffee, and cookies as we begin our entertainment featuring jolly old St. Nick, the Sun Lake Makua Hula Hawaiian Dancers, Precision Stardust Dancers, Tap Dancers, our Barbershop Chorus, and a special performance from Spectrum Dance Studio in Beaumont. So mark your calendars and come enjoy a fun, casual, and FREE evening with the Recreation Department as we begin to ring in the holidays. New Year's Eve Sign up for the greatest celebration of the year and spend New Year's Eve with friends and neighbors in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. Our New Year's celebration will start when the doors open at 6:30 pm for a cocktail hour. A plated dinner will be served at 7:30 pm. Then everyone can dance the night away with "Sophisticats" until 12:30 am; the Times Square countdown will take place on the big screen at 12 midnight; and everyone will receive party favors to remember the special night. A cash bar will be open until 12:30 am for all participants. The cost is $36 pp (checks only). Limit of four people per check. Menu includes assorted rolls, salad, surf and turf (top sirloin with shrimp), garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus with red onions, and coffee/tea/water. Vegetarian options available upon request. The registration will take place through a lottery. Lottery Dates: Nov. 11 - 17. The pick will be on Mon., Nov. 18 and posted by Wed., Nov. 20. If you register at least a week early, we'll be able to save classes that appear to have not met the minimum enrollment. In most cases, we'll also be able to add classes if we exceed the maximum enrollment provided a wait list has been established prior to the first class meeting. Class fees are determined by the number of participants enrolled in each class. For current fees, please contact the class instructor.
