photography Our next meeting is Nov. 11, at 7 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. With Christmas on the way we will again discuss what's new in digital cameras and finish plans for our Holiday Potluck party. You can never take too many pictures. Bring some shots to share, either prints or a digital image on flash drive or a CD. These can be projected onto our big screen. It might be fun to bring an image or two from last Christmas (or any holiday such as Pearl Harbor Day, Kwanzaa or New Years) to give the group ideas for what to take this coming holiday season. Everyone amateur or pro, or in between, is welcome; you can ask for critiques of your work or simply show off. Meetings are the second Monday of each month always in the Multipurpose Room at 7 pm. Try to limit your photos to five but no one will complain if you bring more. This is a friendly group meeting and there are no dues. Questions? The program was about The National Archives and one website that was difficult to distinguish is riverside.archives@nara.gov. This is a reminder, Al Jaszcar has volunteered to restore photos for Society members. Since we have no meetings in November and December, remember to bring them to the Jan. 22, meeting. Although, we are dark in November and December, Gary Underwood, sent information for a Novemberfest 2013. The theme: "Everyone has a Story." Sat., Nov. 2, from 9 am to 1:15 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints, 7000 Central Avenue, Highland, CA 92346. Registration begins at 8:30 am. Jean Wilcox Hibben - PhD,MA,CGsm, will be the Keynote Speaker. We were excited to have her and her husband present our May program. There will be approximately 12 breakout sessions throughout the morning addressing a number of interesting genealogy topics (from beginners to advanced). It is FREE.
