Delegate Assembly Report Joe Formino, Chairman, District Delegate Assembly EPAP ANIMAL RESCUE November brings two important dates for the EPAP Animal group. First, on Nov. 1 and 2, we will be at the Fall Craft Show in the Main Clubhouse. The group has reserved a table and will display donated items available for purchase. There will be unique craft items such as doggie beds, bird houses, etc. In addition, there will be a raffle for customized pets' baskets containing an array of toys and useful items for dogs or cats. This is a great gift idea for the human who needs nothing but wants to spoil his or her best friend. We hope that you will drop by and visit on any of these two days. On Nov. 18, we will have our last meeting of the year. The speaker is Lori Hutchins who will share some significant information that is sure to bring you peace of mind. Her topic is Microchipping your pet. She will expand on the AVID Friendchip, a product that will help you reunite with your pet if lost. She will explain how it works, how to register, how much it cost; what you must do if you move, etc. This will be a very informative session. Please remember, if you lose or find pet, call security at 845-2163, the guard will be the liaison with the EPAP animal group. Thank you for the warm towels/beds donations received this month. Answer: all of the amenities, all of the social clubs, all of the fun things to do at Sun Lakes. If you are bored, it's your own fault. One of the big contributors to our lifestyle is the work performed by the Recreation Department. Every month something seems to be happening here on site or a trip away. You have Charlye Sessner, Director, and her crew to thank for the events. Michelle Weddell handles all of the events for the clubs and groups, the Board and the Delegate Assembly. How would you like to put up with all of those people looking for dates and places for their events? Debbie Sorrows works all of the events' food requests for lunches or dinners, another job dealing with Sun Lakers on a daily basis. Ranae Carmichael is a coordinator of events and channel 97. The Recreation Department personnel are professional planners who handle all three clubhouses and all of the recreational assets we have in our complex. If you have an events for a club our group or for you personally, go to the Main Clubhouse where their offices are located. The event must be for a resident of Sun Lakes. It cannot be a wedding reception for your daughter or birthday party for your grandchild. Since the calendar for the whole year and for all venues available in three clubhouses is so complicated, it is established a year in advance. All clubs and groups and official personnel submit their events one year in advance. This is necessary to coordinate the events is the clubhouses. For your information, if you want to use the BBQs at the Main Clubhouse pool or the South or North Clubhouse, make the reservation with the Recreation Department. You also see them if you have a special group to play Bocce Ball. If you have a luncheon or a dinner in the South or North Clubhouse you may use an outside vendor to supply your food, but any event in the Main Clubhouse must be served by our restaurant department. We are very fortunate to have the facilities for the residents to enjoy, but we should be aware that it takes a lot of professional personnel to make it work smoothly.
