YUCAIPA FIRST! BUSINESS OF THE MONTH Green Valley Farms Karen and Wayne Houchens have owned Green Valley Farms since 1979 and have 10 employees working for them. They offer a large variety of fresh fruits and vegetables along with a large assortment of nuts, candies and dried fruits. They also carry local honey from Soffell's Farms, specialty bread, old fashioned holiday candy and date trays. They offer unique squash such as Mexican squash, banana squash and fairytale squash. They have pumpkins to make homemade pumpkin pie too. They really enjoy what they do, "It's more like a hobby for me. We really like to help our customers find unique and specialty items," said Karen. They keep a list of customer requests and when they find the item, they will call the customer and let them know they have it.
