Manager's Update At the November Open Session Board meeting, the Board of Directors approved the following committee recommendations: • • The Emergency Preparedness Program (EPP) proposed emergency action plan and residents' emergency handbook • EPP request to accept the donation of 10 cots from the • County of Riverside • EPP request for funds for the 2014 EPP EXPO (Not To • Exceed $1,500) • • Safety/Facilities request to create an RFP for a landscape design planner for the Lodge outdoor amenities • • Safety/Facilities proposal for repairs to the Bistro kitchen water heater closet ($2,110) • • Safety/Facilities proposal for resurfacing the tennis courts ($7,500 from reserves) The Board of Directors reviewed and acted upon the following business matters: • • October 2013 minutes – approved • • September 2013 unaudited Financial statement – reviewed • Approved the Performing Arts Club Magic Group show • on Dec. 10 • Approved the proposal from the Seasoned Solos and • Red Hat Ladies for an event on Feb. 1, 2014 • • A member's request for an architectural variance failed for lack of a motion • • Approved funds for adding lighting and decor to the three community roundabouts for the holidays (NTE $1,200) Management reported to the Board the completion of the following items: • • Spike strip repairs at the Potrero gate exit • • Turf installed along Highland Springs • • Staff shirts received • • HOA insurance policy renewed 8 By Lisa Lynn, General Manager • • ARC rule revision sent out to members Management reported that seven violation letters were sent out during August • • Three for architectural items • • Three for maintenance • • One for hoses The Board of Directors suspended facility privileges for three members for delinquent dues, bringing the total for suspended privileges to 11 current members. There were 21 accounts with balances over 90 days past due. The Board meeting is held on the second Thursday of the month, with the Executive Session at 9 am in the Lodge Conference room and the Open Session at 1 pm in the Lodge Ballroom. Please lock your vehicle and remove any valuables when not parking in your garage. As a reminder, holiday lighting must be removed by Jan. 31.
