Emergency Preparedness Program At our next meeting on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 10:30 am in the Lodge Ballroom, our presenter will be Brett McPherson, Emergency Manager of Loma Linda University Health who has been leading many to achieving disaster resilience. Take action today. Prepare. Do you have enough water? Food? Flashlights? Congratulations to our new Cert Graduates. Bill and Tanya Guy and Tina Soeten. The CERT (Certified Emergency Response Team) refresher Class, held on Saturday Nov. 2 at the Beaumont Civic Center, reviewed basics in fire suppression, search and rescue/triage, law enforcement response, disaster medical operations along with a presentation from So Cal Edison. At our November meeting, Mark Turner, CEO San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital, updated us on the new Emergency Wing hospital expansion. He also spoke on partnership plans with Loma Linda University. San Gorgonio Emergency Disaster Coordinator Jan Merrick, spoke about their preparedness, the ongoing safety training and willingness to work with Four Seasons in a coordinated simulation exercise. Happy and safe holidays! ~ Anita Worthen EPP Chair Safety & Facilities At our November meeting, we discussed many items in reference to Facility needs including the Ballroom door project, fountain project, kitchen fryer replacement, kitchen water heater repairs, traffic mirrors installment, parking lot water leak repair and the like. Safety issues are also part of the Committee's role in the Community. Means, motive and opportunity are elements in crime. We community members cannot control, for the large part, means and motive in a crime. The best way to control opportunity is to lock vehicle and residence doors. As any Neighborhood Watch program will instruct you, lock it and you might just keep it.
