dinner dance club What a special time of the year! This is the time to let others know how much they mean to you. On Sat., Dec. 21, members may take their special someone to the "formal" holiday dinner and dance in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. As we are all dressed in our holiday finery, we will enjoy the musical sounds of Sophisticats who begin playing at 6 pm. There is a delicious dinner starting with a salad of mixed greens that includes cranberries, walnuts and feta cheese scattered throughout. Then we will enjoy one of the scrumptious entrees. One entrée choice is a chicken roulade with dressing and gravy and served with garlic mashed potatoes for $20. For the meat lover, there is a sirloin steak topped with bleu cheese and served with mashed potatoes for $27. For the vegetarian, a portabella mushroom will be stuffed with mashed potatoes and topped with parmesan cheese and chives for $19. To finish the meal in grand style, you will have a brownie with raspberry sauce. Sign up for this event will be held on Thurs., Dec. 12, in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room at 2:30 pm. We wish you all the very best during this beautiful holiday season! stardust dancers We are currently working on a new routine for our show April 11 and 12. The show will be at 7 pm both nights. The 30 members will be showcased during the show in nine numbers. Several invited guests will perform as well. All friends and families of the members are invited to come see what they work on international culture club "Tis the season to be jolly" and we have a special evening planned for a members and guests on Thurs., Dec. 12. Doors open at 5:30 pm and music by the Sophisticats will start at 6 pm. After the flag salute and recognition of December birthdays and anniversaries, Evelyn and the Stardust Dancers will take to the dance floor to perform their signature dance routine "One" from A Chorus Line for your pleasure. The buffet menu starting at 6:30 pm by table call, will feature a carving station of strip loin with cabernet and horseradish sauces, champagne salmon, mashed potatoes and squash medley. A dinner salad of mixed greens with dried cranberries, mushrooms, red onion rings and raspberry vinaigrette and ranch dressings will be tabled served along with warm dinner rolls and butter. There will also be New York cheesecake with raspberry sauce for dessert. Each dinner place setting will have a box of Sees candy compliments of the club. Sign ups will be on Dec. 5, in the North Clubhouse. It is $22 for member, $25 for non-resident guest. You can pay your 2014 dues at this time if you wish, they are due in January.
