TGIF Red Hot Seasons A reminder that we have no meeting in December. Our January meeting will be held Jan. 13, at 2 pm in the Ballroom. We will be planning our events for the coming year. If you want to take part in planning the 2014 activities please make sure to attend this meeting. We will resume our monthly meetings on the fourth Monday of the month. Prospective members and curiosity seekers are invited to attend to see what it's all about. Remember, our only rule is "No Rules!" Dec. 16: Christmas Luncheon and ornament or holiday gift exchange ($10) at the Anchor Restaurant in Hemet on Mon., Dec. 16. Lucille Gould has volunteered to coordinate this event again this year. If you haven't signed up for this event, call Lucille at 325-8366 for reservations. Pricing will range between $12 and $15. Food options are Cobb Salad, Fish and Chips, Beef Stroganoff and Teriyaki Chicken. We will carpool from the Lodge leaving at 11:30 am. Our thanks to all who participate making our club a continuing success! Hope to see you at the next meeting! Come and enjoy good conversations and great food cooked by our own Four Season's residents. It's a friendly environment where you can meet new residents, mingle and just enjoy yourself. Here are the bare facts… WHEN: 1st and 3rd Friday of each month TIME: 5 pm and mingle for 30 minutes prior to eating WHERE: Ballroom at the Lodge WHAT: Celebrating It's Friday! INTRODUCTION: MC introduces first time visitors, anyone celebrating a birthday and/or anniversary and those lucky ones get to be first in line for the buffet. WHAT TO BRING: Either a main course, salad or dessert that will serve 8 to 10 people. Also bring your own plate, flatware, drinkware and your favorite beverage. Coffee and tea are provided. On Dec. 20, the "Guitar Club" will be joining us again. It's the Holiday Season and they will be playing a few of our old favorite Holiday songs as well as other selections. Stay after and enjoy the sounds which will begin around 6:30 pm. Hope to see all you newbies (first time visitors), those celebrating a December Birthday and or Anniversary at the next TGIF! Seasoned Solos #2 Eleven Seasoned Solos #2 attended the Mystery Dinner Theatre at West Valley High School. It was a delightful and frightful evening. Everyone had a great time! It's annual, so we will look forward to supporting our local high school again next year. Keep the suggestions coming! Our November event, as of this writing, is still several days away. Expect a review coming in January. We are planning on an outing on Sat., Dec. 14, starting at Las Vaquero's Cantina. We'll meet at the Lodge parking lot near the former model homes at 4 pm and carpool or caravan to the restaurant. The restaurant's address is 3909 W. Florida Ave., (951) 766-1192. Mention you are with the Seasoned Solos Group. After dinner, we are going to a wonderful performance at the Ramona Bowl at 6:30 pm, to see "Masters of Harmony." Enjoy sacred hymns and holiday favorites under the stars. You can purchase your tickets by calling (951) 658-3111 on Tues. & Fri. from 10 am to 4 pm. The tickets are $10 for seniors, but may be a bit more online at www. ramonabowl.com. It is open seating, so we will be there early enough to set in lower sections C or D (middle). Let's all dress in red blouses/ shirts and gather together. 23 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | DECEMBER 2013 | The communities of Beaumont and Murrieta will not be joining us this time. They had other commitments. Please make sure you are signed up to receive "Community Blasts" from the Lodge. These could announce special events that come up on occasion and can't make the new Hemet Herald. Read this publication for all our upcoming planned events. Suggestions are wanted; An envelope is at the Lodge desk for your convenience. Watch January's Hemet Herald for the date and time of our first planning meeting. Please bring your great ideas!
