Genealogical Society Photography The holiday season is over and it's time to get back to our regular schedule of meetings. We hope you enjoyed our party last month. If you missed out there was a little assignment given to our group for this next meeting. We thought it would be fun if you all brought some photos of food preparation. This should be an interesting challenge and a break from the usual photos. There will also be a tutorial on how to store and organize the photos in your computer. Our meetings take place at 7 pm on the second Monday of the month in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. The meeting will be on Mon., Jan. 13. There are no dues for this group. All Sun Lakers are welcome, whether you are a novice looking to pick up some photography tips or a pro, it's always great to meet fellow enthusiasts. You can bring photos on CD or mini-thumb drive to share on our big projection screen. We welcome anyone who is interested in genealogy with experience but, also those who have no experience in finding out who their ancestors are and from where they came. We have interesting professional speakers who show us tips and tricks on discovering the many secrets of our past. We also have taken field trips to the National Archives in Perris. There are no requirements for joining our society. We are looking for a few volunteers to lead the society for the next year. It's not a hard job as we are all willing to do a little to make it easier for the leadership. If you would like to help, please let us know. In January, our former President, John Gascoigne, will be presenting a program for us on that day. He has a very interesting past and has helped members doing research on their tree. We hope to have our election/installation of officers at this meeting. Annual membership is only $15 per family.
