Yiddish Culture Club Another year has flown by Our club has grown, and we know why We'll share the reason, this is the season For making whoopeeeeee! Think of the joyous greeting Welcoming every heart, Noshing at every meeting Before the programs start, We hope you'll come to celebrate Our installation, it will be great! Enjoy your dinners, and meet the winners And we'll make whoopeeeeee! And indeed we will make whoopeeeeee! We will laugh 'til our sides ache from the Emmy Award-winning comedy of writer and comedian Monica Piper as she explores her roots and pre-sent life in "Farmisht, Farkempt, and Farblungit!" A hilarious and heartwarming blend of stand up and storytelling that leaves audiences laughed out and happy. Monica first performed in Sun Lakes for our club's 2011 installation dinner event and has since provided comedy for other Sun Lakes groups. We are delighted to present her for your entertainment again at this year's Installation dinner. You don't know what those Yiddish words mean? (Neither does this writer!) Come to this Yiddish Culture Club event and find out. Wed., Jan. 8, at 6 pm, in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom is the date, time and location of the Yiddish Culture Club Installation of officers for this new year. A scrumptious dinner, prepared and served to you at your reserved seats by our own restaurant staff will follow immediately. The menu will include your choice of champagne salmon or lemon chicken complete with new potatoes, green beans almondine, a special winter salad, rolls, coffee, tea, and a new dessert 22 | sun lakes lifestyles | January 2014 | social clubs & groups we have never had before. The cost for this dinner is $17 pp for members and $24 pp for guests. Following this leisurely and delightful repast we will all be treated to the comedy of Monica Piper. Reservation forms are in the Yiddish Culture Club slot in the Main Clubhouse entrance. Make sure to check your choice of main course. Paid reservations must be received no later than Jan. 2.
