Mystery Theater & More The BIG NEWS this month is our MEGA-SHOW, "That's Entertainment." The cumulative energies of our entire membership, at least for the months of November through February, have gone into making this show the great event that it will be, and in also living up to our reputation as putting on the best entertainment show in the entire community for the entire year! What is important for you to know is that ticket sales begin Mon., Feb. 10. We will be selling tickets in the Main Clubhouse Lobby, Monday through Friday, from 9:30 am until 2:30 pm from Feb. 10 to Feb. 21. The $8 pp tickets are for reserved seats in a tabled audience setting, nearly guaranteeing that every seat is a great location. However, we all know that the first three rows of tables are the "premium seats," and that's why they are so highly sought. To ensure that you can lay claim to the seats that you need for you and your friends, we HIGHLY recommend that you acquire YOUR seats on the very first day, Mon., Feb. 10! The show dates for this extravaganza of entertainment are Thurs., Feb. 27, Fri., Feb. 28, Sat., March 1 at 7 pm and Sun., March 2 matinée at 3 pm. This year's show primary theme is "California Here I Come," which encapsulates the feel and excitement of all of the songs and dances in the first half of the show. After a brief intermission we will follow those wonderful memories with hits from the wide history of Hollywood Movies and the exceptional shows of Broadway. All in all, this 120 minute show will leave you begging for more, but grateful you were there to see and hear it first-hand. So now, while you have this edition of Lifestyles still in your hand, make a note on your calendar for Mon., Feb. 10 at 9:30 am to be in the Main Clubhouse lobby to buy YOUR tickets for this show! If you are new to the community this might be your first opportunity to see and hear what is available, entertainmentwise, right here in your own backyard. Don't miss it. Drama Club The play is cast, rehearsals are in motion, and lines are being learned by members of the Drama Club in preparation for the Spring Production, "Alone Together Again," a quick paced comedy about families and their interrelationships. Michael Owen, recently seen in the Reader's Theatre production of "The Third Man," is the director. Michael has vast experience in acting, producing, and directing and is honing the cast into a well oiled production. He is being assisted by Sue Dunn as producer. Sue, a former president of the Drama Club, is known for her outstanding comedic performances in the plays, "The Dixie Swim Club" and "I'm Herbert," among others. Our new President, Martie Steggell, is going to resurrect the monthly newsletter for all the club membership. This publication will be going out on e-mail with those members Karaoke Group who do not have computers receiving a print copy by snail mail. Drama Club members are encouraged to submit items for the newsletter to Martie for publication. The goal is improved communication among the members. In addition, our monthly meetings on the first Thursday of each month at 1 pm in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom will continue as usual. Attending this meeting is encouraged as it is the main method of informing members of current items of interest and decision making for the club. Any member of the community who has an interest in any area of play production is welcome to join the club.
