Our next meeting will be on Feb. 10, the second
Monday of the month, as always in the Main Clubhouse
Multipurpose Room at 7 pm. Our January assignment
was to take pictures of food preparation for fun. This
month you can bring any pictures you'd like to share with
the group. You can bring photos on CD or mini-thumb
drive to share projected on our big screen. There will also
be a demonstration of photo editing in Elements 11 (auto
adjustments, exposure, contrast, saturation and touch-up).
All Sun Lakers are welcome. Whether you are a novice
looking to pick up some photography tips or a pro, it's
always great to meet fellow enthusiasts. Questions, call

Who do you think you are? If you have ever watched that
show on TV, you realize how many people find interesting and
unusual ancestors. Do you wonder about how long your family
has been in America? Are you a first generation American? Or
did you descend from the Pilgrims or those who fought in the
Revolutionary War? Were they in the Civil War, if so, on what
side did they fight? These are all questions that can easily be
answered with a little research. Whatever you find will be a
treasure for your future generations. A family tree is a gift for
your family members that just keeps on giving!
It's not hard and we are here to help you. This is a group of
new and experienced genealogists who love to help each other.
We also have professional genealogists come to our meetings
and speak. We have taken field trips to research centers. We
are planning on doing a series for those who are just beginning
or have lots of information but don't know how to organize it.
We meet on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 1 pm in
the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. The annual dues are
