Firearm Enthusiasts
As I'm writing this article (early January) and the weather
has been almost perfect for outdoor activities such as a round
of trap, checking the sighting of your favorite rifle or keeping
proficient with your pistol which I'm sure some of you have.
Ammo has been slowly coming available lately and yes, I know
the prices probably won't drop back to a reasonable level, like
nothing ever does.
The Ontario Gun Show last month had plenty of ammo
however, I didn't see much .22 long rifle and what I did see was
expensive. If you missed it, it will be back on March 1 and 2 at
the Ontario Convention Center. Parking was raised to $9 and
entry is $14 (or renew your NRA and get in free). Gather up
your friends and carpool to this next one for some fun.
Interested in an outing? Just contact the membership listing
for others who may also want to go or contact me and I'll spread
the word to all. The closest indoor range (Beaumont Indoor
Range) is less than three miles from the Potrero Gate located on
4th St. west of Veile St. They carry ammo for range use only (call
ahead for availability). The outdoor range that I frequent is the
High Desert Rod and Gun Club Range located about 35 miles
away on the Hwy. 62 in Morongo Valley (no ammo availability).

scheduled for March 14 at the Lodge sign-up area.

Due to winter weather and holidays there has not been much activity for the club. However future trips to the Idyllwild area,
Ocotillo Wells and Tierra del Sol are under discussion. Several members plan to be in Death Valley in February. We meet the
second Tuesday of the month in the Ballroom at 7 pm. We look forward to welcoming new members and reconnecting with
