CLUBS & GROUPS | FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2014 27 Classes are Mondays, 10 am to 12 pm and/or Wednesdays, 6 to 8 pm. Just stop by. ~ Rob Kelman Creative Drawing & Sketching Class Works by the Artist of the Month: Micki Rosen (The brick house image was mistakenly attributed to a different artist in the January, 2014 issue of the Breeze.) In February, we will continue the series on "You are Shaped for Significance." We began our series by considering five factors that determine the way we are shaped, and how the way we are shaped affects every area of our life – our relationships, our career, our finances, and the things we enjoy. It affects everything. We will continue in February by looking at these different factors and consider such topics as Making the Most of Your Assets, Living Your Heart's Desire, and Learning from the School of Life. Come and join us as we explore these subjects of interest to everyone. Everybody is welcome! Our Bible Study meets on Tuesday evenings in the Lodge Ballroom from 7 to 8 pm. The club provides an opportunity for us to meet others in the Four Seasons community, and also a chance to encourage and strengthen one another in our walk of faith. Each lesson is self-contained, and everyone is welcome. Our next meeting is Feb. 18. Visitors are always welcome. We invite all photographers, regardless of skill level, to join us for our regular meetings and field trips. Members are always eager to help and teach. We discuss photography, photo software, hardware, and related subjects of interest. On a voluntary basis, members offer their photographs for critique which is a great learning experience for all. Remember, this is purely "voluntary." Our alternative photo project is ongoing (i.e. we bring a picture of a specific genre we all agree on). For the January meeting, it was any photo of either a sunrise or a sunset. This, also, is completely voluntary. That's the great thing about our camera club. If you desire, you don't have to volunteer any pictures… just sit back and learn from the discussions and critiques! Also in our January meeting, we had an interesting talk about using a slide show to present all of our fantastic holiday photographs. We had a great field trip on Jan. 17. For starters, we met at a local restaurant for good food and chit chat. Then, onto Sunnylands in Rancho Mirage which is the former winter residence of Walter and Leonore Annenberg and was designed by A. Quincy Jones. We took some fabulous photographs of the grounds and had a great time. Hope to see you at one of our meetings soon.
