Home Again Bowling at Moreno Valley Sun Lakers III Jerry Schneider our league secretary was announced as League Secretary of the Year for 2013 by Elsie Hamner, Association Manager, Citrus USBC Association prior to the beginning of the 19th week of our league. This association has active leagues in 23 cities throughout the Inland Empire according to USBC. This special recognition included a beautiful computer case and plaque signifying the award. Jerry has now served as our secretary for nine consecutive years and her effort and dedication are truly appreciated by every bowler! With the league season two thirds completed there are major changes in team standings. Just assuming the league lead by 1/2 game is Green Machine (Lawanda & Ray Roberson, Mel Green and Darrell Botello), closely followed in second place by Pinbusters (Pat & Herb Watson, George Johsz and Gene Sax), and third place The Almosts (Ida & Emil Nily, Steve Kijula and Curly Mann). Play begins the week of March 17 and runs 10 weeks, ending the week of May 19. Playoffs will be held the following Tues. and Wed., May 27 and 28. Mon., March 26, is Memorial Day. As usual, we'll play Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 3, 4, 5, and 6 pm each day. If you have not yet paid your club dues for 2014 and you plan to play the Spring Tournament, you'll need to do so - still $12 - such a bargain!
