Just stop by. ~ Rob Kelman Creative Drawing & Sketching Class Knitting & Crocheting We are ready to start this year's project for the Beaumont senior Center, but have a long time to prepare. Come join us. ~ Dorothy Payne What an amazing six weeks we have had launching the new Four seasons Bible study "Believe…" by discussing the subject of Faith. in our first lesson discussion we differentiated between belief, trust and faith, how they are integrally related, and that faith is the essential basis for spiritual growth. Lesson two we discussed the faith exhibited by Peter, Naaman, the woman with an issue of blood and then Thomas's doubting. The next two lessons we studied hebrews 11, which is a culmination of the definition of faith and the living examples therein, as well as citing scripture concerning faith in god's Word. our final lesson on faith we discussed how faith is strengthened by the "building blocks" of faith. also from those building blocks, we discerned that those blocks are really our faith-strengthening "to-do" list. Many of the women shared their personal experiences through faith. it was a very uplifting and tender sharing time for all of us. Taking the subject of faith with us, we are now embarking on the subject of love — god's love for us, our love of god, our love for each other (family, friends, peers, etc.) and loving those that are difficult to love. We are so looking forward to these discussions and the examples, insights and comfort we share with one another. Ladies, if you are interested in having an uplifting hour with other amazing and beautiful women here at Four seasons, please consider joining our study of the Word with us every Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 am in the first section of the Ballroom. it's a non-denominational study, and all women are welcome. hope to see you there! ~ Eileen Gilbert-Antoine. We started our group in March 2013 with the National Women's history Project theme "Women inspiring innovation Through imagination." our discussions are very enlightening and show there is much for us to share and discover about women in america. Check us out. ~ Lynette Simonson Women Celebrating America in March we begin a seven-part series on the Ten Commandments, "Laws That Liberate," led by Jim seim, one of the members of our Bible study. We will study the laws given by Moses, investigating their meaning in our personal lives, and in our culture today. are they still relevant, or are they out of date? in our first session we will try to answer this question by looking at the Ten Commandments as a whole. in the following weeks we will consider them on a more individual basis. This will include such topics as: honor god as god; The day of rest; respect authority; Protect and honor Life; Tell the Truth; simplicity and Contentment. Come and join us as we explore this significant subject and its meaning for our everyday life. everybody is welcome! our Bible study meets on Tuesday evenings in the Lodge Ballroom from 7 to 8 pm. The club provides an opportunity for us to meet others in the Four seasons community, and also a chance to encourage and strengthen one another in our walk of faith. each lesson is self-contained, and everyone is welcome. For more information, call don Cummings at (951) 572-5329. ~ Don Cummings Life Guide Bible Study We meet the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Craft room at the Lodge. our March meeting will be March 18. Visitors are always welcome. We invite all photographers, regardless of skill level, to join us for our regular meetings and field trips. Members are always eager to help and teach. We discuss photography, photo software, hardware, and related subjects of interest. on a voluntary basis, members offer their photographs for critique which is a great learning experience for all. remember, this is purely "voluntary." our alternative photo project is ongoing (i.e. we bring a picture of a specific genre we all agree on). For the February meeting, since we discussed slide shows in our January meeting, our assignment was to bring a dVd of a slide show, any subject, two to three minutes in length using the outline handout given to us at the January meeting plus the extremely interesting presentation given by our chairperson, george Johnson. after his talk, we then adjourned to the theater for the video portion of the presentation. Wow, these meetings just get better and better! again, please remember, the assignments for the meetings are purely "voluntary." That's the great thing about our club. if you desire, you don't have to volunteer any pictures (or dVd in the case of the February assignment) just sit back and learn from the discussions and critiques. in our March meeting, george Johnson will lead a discussion on composition of photographs. you know, all of the "rules" and then when it perfectly acceptable to "forget" about them. as i reported to you in last month's Breeze, we had a great field trip on Jan. 17. Please see the photo below from that trip. also, several more are planned. under consideration are Living desert (Feb./March) and huntington Library and gardens (april/May). all suggestions are welcome. hope to see you at one of our meetings soon. info., Lyle Cameron, (951) 849-6987. ~ Lyle Cameron Camera Club
