On Thurs., April 3, we will be having our first field trip of the year. The photo trip will be to the Huntington Library and Gardens in San Marino (Thursday is a free day). We will meet in the SLCC Main Clubhouse parking lot at 8:45 to form car pools then leave at 9 am. If you go on the trip bring your pictures to this meeting. We will also discuss next month's "No Theme" photo contest along with discussing the importance of editing your photos versus going direct from the camera. Newcomers are always welcome. This is an informal gathering and all Sun Lakers are invited to attend. Whether you are a novice with a new camera looking to pick up some photography tips or a pro, it's always great to meet fellow enthusiasts. We get together each month on the second Friday of the month in the Main Clubhouse Arts & Craft Room at 3 pm. The group is open to any and all residents of Sun Lakes. After returning from a wonderful cruise recently, I couldn't help but wonder what it was like for our ancestors when they crossed the oceans with their families to come to America. Probably no buffets or luxury cabins with balconies or glossy gift shops for souvenirs. Do you know the history of your ancestors arriving to their destination?
