Congratulations to the Winter Tournament winners! Double A winners were Ray and Betsy Messerer, Maggie Kline and Ed Gordon, who was subbing for their fourth regular player, Tom Keheley. 'Twas a hard-fought match and a well-deserved win! The AB League winners were Al Knudsen, Sandra Caton, Jerry and Helen Searcy. All the finalists dealt with the most difficult conditions on the courts that we have experienced. They were damp and extremely slow! It was difficult to throw the bocce balls hard enough, which is a switch from normal conditions. But, two teams triumphed in spite of the difficulties! Again congratulations to all the finalists. ATTENTION! Our free-to-members pizza party is coming up at the end of this month — April 27 to be exact. As always doors in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom open at 3:30 pm, meeting at that time and eating at 4:30 pm. The party may be free, but, because we need to know how many are coming, we ask you to put $3 pp in an envelope, with your name/names on the outside and deliver to the box on the door at 1288 Pleasant Valley, to reserve your place. In exchange for said $3, you will receive five tickets to the 50/50 drawings. For those who are new to our club, pizza, salad, beer, wine and soda are served, with cookies for dessert! Such a deal! Guests pay $15 at the door, though their $3 must be paid ahead of time so we're sure to have enough seating for all. Bocce Ball players have more fun!
