Our next Community Emergency Response Team Training is a three day course, Thursday, May 1 from 6 to 10 pm and May 3 and 4 from 8 am to 5 pm. You can apply for this through the City of Beaumont website, by going to Emergency Services then Training. There will be an Emergency Preparedness expo on April 5 from 10 am to 2 pm in the Ballroom. Please come along and visit us at our table. There will be a meeting for Block Captains and Co-Captains on June 12 at 7 pm in the Ballroom. Remember we are always looking for volunteer Block Captains as we continue to grow our beautiful community. The following areas currently need a Block Captain, Baxter Wood, Brookriver Trail, Cascade Creek, Clark Creek, Compass Creek, Cook Creek, Crane Creek, Dewey Creek, Fern Creek, Granite Creek, Horizon Creek, Mission Trail, Murphy Creek, Owl Creek, Pierce Mill, Poplar Creek, Quiet Creek, Santiago Oaks Park, Signal Creek, Spring Creek, Tijeras Creek, Wagon Creek. We would like to get all Block Captains and Co-Captains trained on FRS radios for an emergency situation. This group gets together on the last Friday of the month at 10 am in the Ballroom. Dick Van Bree and Pete Hersey run this group. If you do not have a radio do not worry as they have a good supply for you to practice on. As always "if you see something say something…" if you have any concerns call the Beaumont Police at (951) 769-8500, Euclid Management at the front desk, Anita Worthen or myself as we continue to watch out for each other. ~ Susan Wilson
