We hope that each of you has completed last month's challenge by visiting the North Clubhouse to view the large selection of boxed puzzles available for you to borrow and enjoy. These puzzles will give you hours of enjoyment as you strive to fit all of the pieces together to reveal beautiful picture underneath. Your new challenge for this month is to visit one of the three libraries to find the perfect the mood and joy of the upcoming Mother's Day Holiday. Once you have completed reading that book, share the enjoyment of the novel with a friend and together, enjoy the holiday spirit that your book selection brings. Have you ever wanted to borrow a book from one of the libraries but were afraid to ask? The process is quite simple and easy to understand. The process is based upon the "honor system." There is no library card or formal checkout system. Once you have found the book you would like to read, simply pick it up, take it home, read it, and finally return the book back to the same library from which you borrowed it. The libraries are open and available for browsing during the same operating hours as the clubhouses. The Main Clubhouse operating hours are Sunday through Thursday from 6 am to 10 pm and Friday and Saturday for an extra hour until 11 pm. The North Clubhouse and South Clubhouse hours are 5:30 am to 10 pm daily. If you have any extra book that you would like to donate to the library, please drop them off at one of the collection boxes located in each other libraries. If you have any questions, contact either Peggy Inman at 845-8609 or Russ Anderson at 845-9414. Remember: Books being donated should be published in the year 2004 or later due to limited shelf space. Library Volunteers: The volunteers recently attended a special tea given in their honor to thank them for their service. There were plenty of drinks, cookies, conversation, and a chance for everyone to get to see and better know their fellow volunteers. If you would to be a part of the group, please contact Jill Falat at 797-3263. Thanks for being a volunteer! Happy reading and we hope to see each of you browsing for your favorite books at one of our libraries. Library Committee Restaurant & Lounge Committee Delightful Dining… We have been busy planning and addressing the following issues that have been raised by the residents of this community. 1. Streamlining bar service during major events: We recognize that there will always be a longer wait for service during these times. However, we are working with the Restaurant Manager Richard Murray to see what can be done to ease the situation as much as possible. 2. Veranda events: We are looking at a variety of activities for your enjoyment. 3. Pastry Chef: Many of you have tasted the delicious pastries on display in the Sandwedge. The committee is looking at options to display samples of pastries and desserts in the Restaurant. 4. Decaffeinated diet soft drinks: Diet Sierra Mist is available. 5. Soft drinks occasionally flat when served: Drinks in pitchers tend to lose their fizz. Restaurant Manager will check equipment for problems.
