Daniel L. Bargfrede June 4, 1927-March 26, 2014. Daniel was born in Jackson, MN to
Louis and Emma Bargfrede and had three brothers, Gordon, Charles, and Rueben. After graduating
high school in 1945, he worked constructions, drove a truck and a school bus. He married his first
wife, Donna Nagel, in 1947. In 1952, he and his family moved to Dallas, OR. They then moved to
Kennewick, WA where he learned bricklaying trade. In 1957, they moved to San Diego until 1963
when they moved to Grover City, CA and became an owner of his own company as a Masonry
Contractor. He retired in 1984. Donna, his first wife, passed away in 1989. In 1991 he moved to
Victor, MT. He loved to play golf, bowl, travel, and hunt. In 1994, he married Betty Jean and lived
for five years in Montana, then in 1999 moved to Sun Lakes. They traveled in their RV around the
country and went on 11 cruises. They also loved going to different casinos in Las Vegas and Laughlin.
They have wonderful neighbors and friends and enjoy their families very much. Daniel has three
children: daughter Teryl and sons Doug and Dev. He also has four step-children from wife Betty
Jean: daughter Cheryl and sons Richard, Gary, and Brad. Dan and Jean have 18 grandchildren and
16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and two brothers, Gordon,
and Charles. He was loved by all. Thank you to all of you who have been so kind.
