If you have, than the Hemet Writers' Group is for you. It is a read and critique group in which writers share their works for critical feedback. Our group is a safe environment where both new and published writers get together to improve their craft. Since we started the group here, a number of people have had their works published. Lynn Spreen with Dakota Blues and Jim Hitt with Carny, A Novel In Stories both had their novels see print. "The editor told me that my manuscript was the cleanest she had ever seen," said Jim Hitt. "I give the Hemet Writers' Group all the credit. They helped me really hone the manuscript. The book won several awards including the 2011 Grand Prize for Fiction from the Next Generation Indie Book Awards. Without the group's input, this would never have happened." Perhaps you, too, can find success in writing. Come to the group and see if it is right for you. We meet every Thursday night from 6:30 to 9 pm at 669 Weir Dr. You can also contact us at (951) 926-6336 or (805) 551-7472. Hope to see you there. 25 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | MAY 2014 | | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | MAY 2014 | 26
