Would you like to know more about Neighborhood Watch? If you would like to host a Neighborhood Watch meeting with residents on your block, I would be happy to give a one hour presentation about Neighborhood Watch and what it means for your block. I will discuss getting your block communicating with one another. I find the most efficient way to stay in touch with one another is through an e-mail network for your street. If everyone on your block is vigil there is apt to be less crime on your block. On occasion we all see "something" or "someone" that looks out of place, that's the time to pay attention to your "gut" I recommend contacting the Roving Patrol ASAP… Roving Patrol's number is (951) 537-4226. Adding this number to your home and cell phone is highly recommended. If you are interested in becoming a Neighborhood Watch captain or just curious about the program feel free to attend our monthly meetings on the fourth Monday of each month, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm in the Ballroom. The Chairperson for Neighborhood Watch is Nancy Warters, (951) 599-4523. Neighborhood Watch Community Awareness Committee The Reinhardt Canyon Town Hall Meeting on March 27 went well. Jim Crase gave an accurate presentation about the history of attempts to develop the Canyon over the last 20 years. Chuck Sims kept the meeting moving so all sides had an opportunity to speak. Supervisor Stone spent his time talking about himself and the politics of the Board of Supervisors. Unfortunately, he did not have time to present the new proposal. Many residents of the Canyon and Four Seasons expressed concerns about the development and showed support for minimum 5/10 acre lots in the Canyon. As residents left, they completed an exit poll asking if they were in favor of the new proposal. 172 attendees submitted ballot. 162 people opposed the development and 9 supported it. We would like to thank the HOA Board and all the participants for their hard work organizing the Town Hall Meeting. Ramona Creek, a mixed use development on 200 acres on the Northeast corner of Warren and Florida, is moving forward. On May 6, the City Planning Commission is scheduled to consider the proposed development. The Project is being developed by Regents Properties, a group who has built a number of prize winning projects. The Project includes approximately 1000 homes including condominiums, townhouses, and single family detached homes. It also includes approximately 500,000 square feet of commercial and institutional construction. The drainage area will be incorporated into the Project as open space for use by the communities. Since EMWD has a large easement on the property, the developers are proposing to turn this part of the property into a park. The Community Awareness Committee thinks this development will raise the bar for future development in the West End. Last but not least, the light on the corner of Florida Avenue and California Street should be in and working by the end of May. I hope you're enjoying your community magazine, the The Four Seasons Hemet Herald. My goal is to provide you, the residents of this beautiful community, a magazine that has all the news you need designed and printed with the high standards you deserve. Please keep a few things in mind when submitting articles: Keep articles timely and include events that are upcoming in the next one or two months. Keep articles short. Approximately 400 words or less is good. Be sure to include contact information so if a reader has questions, they may contact you for more information. Submit digital, high-resolution (300 dpi jpegs) photos of people facing the camera. Please include captions with your photos. If you have a photo of the community that you'd like to submit for consideration for a future cover, please be sure to include the photographer's name and a brief caption. Finally, this magazine is provided at no cost to the homeowners because of the advertisers. Please use their services whenever possible. Any suggestions for advertisers are always welcome.
