Pickleball players all know that part of the fun of Pickleball is how social the sport is in nature. The name "Pickleball" is actually what has helped the most in spreading the word about Pickleball, since the majority of people have never heard of the sport! Here is Sun Lakes, we're making great strides in promoting and encouraging the great fun, physical, spiritual and mental hearth benefits of this sport. If you would like to learn the game, or in the early learning stage, or, even an advanced player, fellowship and opportunity is available almost every day of the week, Monday through Saturday 8 am, weather permitting. Equipment is available for loan, if needed, and players are advised to wear non-marking sneakers. For additional information, contact Royce Newman (951) 769-1103. If your preference is Paddle Tennis, we have a very active group of players who play most every morning, regardless of weather conditions. Regular scheduled play is Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday at 8 am, and Tuesday and Thursday evening at 6 pm. New players are always welcome and we can provide equipment for loan to new players. If any residents have family or friends visiting who would like to play either sport, we would be glad to have them join us! Our summer play season has less scheduled events but in August we will begin our tournaments and party activities. Two days later, a year-end awards presentation and catered dinner will precede our summer hiatus. A new year will begin on Sept. 3. Any Sun Laker looking for some friendly billiards play is welcome to join in our daily practices, which start around 12 pm most days.
