We just celebrated our third anniversary as a club! We've come a long way since that first year! We look back with some fond, and some funny memories of how we got the club started! Many of us are still with the club since its inception, some members have found other interests and we have found some new members too. The Guitar Club has been invited to play on the Third Friday after TGIF. We look forward to our beautiful, warm evenings and hope to play outside by the fireplace. Our members include Russ Brown, Hank Callaghan, Al Chaney, Hal Clark, Lois Cowan, Cynthia Ellingworth, Orville Ellingworth, Bob Hagen (leader), Jerry "Hawk" Hawkins, Sandy Iannotti, Gary Lewis, Mike Murphy, Linda Negrete, and Bud Piraino. We meet on Fridays from 10 am to 12:45 pm in the Multipurpose Room. Cynthia Ellingworth is the contact at cynthia0430@ verizon.net. Just to keep everyone up to date, we are planning our next Happy, fun filled evening. Please look for more information in the July Hemet Herald. Guitar Club New Jersey/ New York Club Four Seasons Players I hope all of you that attended the performance of Love Letters had a great time. I know the cast really enjoyed presenting it to you and challenging their acting skills. As usual, we try to provide you entertainment that is different each time. You have no idea how hard this is to do. We have a script committee that reviews materials, brings it to our meeting for a read through, and then as a group we select what we think you would like to see. If anyone out there has a favorite piece to recommend to us, we would be more then pleased to consider it. You can contact me, Emilie Ortega, at (951) 926-7275 and I will take it to the committee. Our next performance will be in September presenting excerpts from well-known musicals, in concert with Vintage Voices. This will be a dinner show. As soon as we have things priced out we will let you know the cost well before September in this section of the newsletter. You will be able to reserve tables for your group just as other functions you have attended at the lodge. This kind of show will be a first for us. If it is well attended we will consider doing it again next year. Needless to say, we are excited to do this challenging show. Again, if you would like to become a member of our group, we meet the third Friday of each month at 1 pm. Come join us… we are a very fun group. So until next month, have a great Fourth of July, enjoy our wonderful weather, and I will see you around the campus. 23 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | July 2014 | | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | July 2014 | 24 Please join us on Tuesdays, from 2 to 5 pm in the Arts & Crafts Room of the Lodge.
