| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | July 2014 | 10 9 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | July 2014 | Community Awareness Committee It is the responsibility of the Community Awareness Committee to keep up with land use projects that may impact Four Seasons. Following is a summary of the land use activity around our Community: • Reinhardt Canyon – Last summer the developer for Reinhardt Canyon indicated he would submit a new plan for the area. At a Four Season's Town Hall Meeting, Supervisor Jeff Stone presented a possible plan. This plan was soundly rejected by the approximately 175 people who attended the meeting. As of the writing of this article, no new plan has been officially submitted to the County. • Riverside County General Plan 960 – GPA 960 changes the land use designation of Reinhardt Canyon to 1 dwelling unit per 5 acres on the Canyon floor and 1 dwelling unit per 10 acres on the hill sides. GPA 960 is moving closer to being approved. We anticipate the public hearings for this General Plan change will occur in January 2015. The CAC is working to insure this Amendment passes with this important change. In January we will need help from everyone to insure this change remains in the Amendment. • Ramona Creek – This residential and commercial project on 200 acres on the Northeast corner of Warren and Florida should have been approved by the City Council in June. The City Council's actions give the Developer the right to build the project. It will be several years before they begin construction. The CAC supports this project and thinks it will provide a quality development in the western end of Hemet. • The Dangerous curve in Front of Four Seasons – Construction to improve the safety of the dangerous curve in front of Four Seasons has begun. This construction should be completed by November 2014. • The light at the corner of Florida and California should be complete by the time you read this article. The CAC will continue to monitor these projects and work for development that will benefit our community. A barbecue is being planned for 250 homeless veterans and their families on Sept. 6 at March Air Reserve Base. We need donations and volunteers to help purchase, cook (at March ARB), and serve at this event. Your donation can be left at the Front Desk of the Lodge. All checks should be made out to Four Seasons at Hemet HOA. Thank you for your generosity! Homeless Veterans Need Our Help
