Come join us to celebrate America's birthday. Join us for our next dinner meeting Fri., July11, at 6 pm in the South Clubhouse. Doors open at 5:30 pm. That wonderful caterer, Gwen Marlowe, will be serving fruit salad, pasta salad with roasted shrimp, strawberry feta salad with feta cheese, walnuts, and raspberry vinaigrette, chicken salad with grapes, rolls and butter, and chocolate cake for dessert. AND, you'll love the surprise entertainment! All this for $13 pp! Guests are $15 pp. If you live in Sun Lakes, you may come as a guest one time only, then you must join the club for $10 pp. Guests living outside of Sun Lakes are welcome at $15 pp. Due to the desirability of our club, we can only accommodate 99 people in the South Clubhouse for our dinner meetings, so your attendance will be on a first come, first serve basis. Make checks payable to Social Singles and drop your checks to Betty McMillion, 5549 Pinehurst Dr., 769-6636. Those who want to sit together should put their checks in one envelope. If you have signed up for the dinner meeting and are unable to attend, PLEASE call Betty McMillion so she may give your reservation to someone on the wait list. Come out on July 26 and enjoy Music Under The Stars, it's always a fun time for everyone! You can park your golf cart on the grass or sit on the Veranda. The band "After Dark" will be our music for dancing from 6 to 9 pm. Sept. 21: "Vaudeville At Its Best:" This is our once a year event open to all Sun Lakers. It will be in the Main Clubhouse. Cost is $20 pp for YAH members and $25 for non-members. Dinner is included. Cocktails at 5 pm, dinner at 6 pm, show at 7 pm, after the show we will have dancing until 9 pm. There will be assigned seating, eight to a table, so if you want to sit together you need to turn your checks in at the same time. Dress code will be casual attire. October's date has been changed to Wed., Oct. 15: We will be going by bus to the Casa Tiene Vista Winery. More details next month so put this date on your calendar! Nov. 9: "Spuds And Suds." Young at Heart June 27: "OPENING SYMPHONY REDLANDS BOWL" Leave at 6:15 pm. Conductor Frank Fetta will give us another magical evening under the stars featuring selections from Andrew Lloyd Webber and John Williams. Bring dinner if you want. No admission… donations only. June 28: SATURDAY LUNCHEON 11:30 am. Dining room. July 15: MOVIE, SOUTH CLUBHOUSE, "LAST VEGAS" (Rated R – adult humor" ) $2 pp, 2:30 pm. This comedy, whether you've seen it or not, will have you roaring! Three 60-something male friends take a break from their day-to-day lives to throw a bachelor party in Las Vegas for their last remaining single pal.
