He spent his early years with his parents, Florence and Eugene in the town of Turtle Creek. He attended William and Mary College before being drafted into World War 2 where he served as a medic. After the war he and his wife Dorothy moved to San Francisco. They had three children; Barry Nancy and Carol. Six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive him. "Roy" spent many years working in marketing, real estate and as a financial planner. Upon retiring, he and his wife became original residents of Sun Lakes. They enjoyed the many leisure activities offered such as golf and bridge. He and Dorothy were married for 63 years. After Dorothy passed away in 2012, Roy continued to be a very active senior. Some of his many interests included entertaining, dancing and gardening. In fact he won an award from the garden club for the best landscaped condo. He recently completed a two-week cruise with a lovely new friend. Roy has definitely made his mark on Sun Lakes and the world and he will continue to have a place in our hearts. Kerry R.
