24 | sun lakes lIfestyles | auGust 2014 | soCIal Clubs & Groups Cruzin' Cronies We are a group of car enthusiasts who meet for breakfast on the first Saturday of every month (except December). We love to show off and talk about our classic cars, participate in parades and car shows, and caravan together to various events. We proudly had 27 classic cars participating in last month's Fourth of July parade. Come and see our cars on Aug. 2 at 8:30 am in the Main Clubhouse parking lot. Then join us for a short meeting in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room and for breakfast in the restaurant. As a club, we have no dues or membership fees, and we are actively seeking new members. You don't even need a classic car — just an interest in looking at them, hearing our stories, and developing warm friendships. Mark your calendars and meet us in Bishop for our Sept. 7-12 rally. This will be hosted by Allen and Karen Hill (845-2341) and if you are planning on attending and will be traveling before hand we suggest you contact them to complete your paperwork ahead of time. Upcoming dates: Oct. 15: Pizza Party and general meeting to be held at the South Clubhouse. Nov. 2-7: Chula Vista hosted by Jim and Lyn Ball. We have some fun things planned for this one including a couple of surprises so be sure you don't miss out! If you would like to enjoy the company of good friends and fun times in some beautiful settings this is the club for you. We have five rallies each year. We offer planned activities at each rally which may include sightseeing in the area, a round of golf, bocce ball, ring toss or bean bag baseball. Some members gather for card games in the evenings. Not the gaming type? We also offer you one of everybody's favorite pastimes of getting together to share a few meals.
