Robert was born in Jackson, Michigan on Sept. 22, 1931. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1951 and was stationed to Sealand AFB England, where he met and fell in love with Pamela Jean. They soon married on July 31, 1954. He was then stationed to Westover Air Force Base in Mass., followed by Wiesbaden, Germany, and then McGuire AFB, New Jersey. Seeking warmer weather he ventured west and settled in Southern California. There he put his German clock training to good use and bought Ben Little's Clock shop which he owned and operated in Ontario for over 30 years with his wife and daughter Carol. His loving wife Pam of almost 60 years, and his three daughters survive him. His favorite daughter, Sharon Lee Swart-Reiter, her husband Don, and family of Chino, CA. His other favorite daughter Carol May Pettey and her husband David and her family of Redlands, CA, and his other favorite daughter Shirley Ann Burroughs and her husband Steve and her family also of Redlands. Robert was also blessed with five grandsons Kyle, Jake (Heather) and Cody Reiter, Robert (Rachael) Walker and Steven (Jennifer) Burroughs. Two granddaughters, Nichole Hutchins (Eric) and Pamela Harrison (Paul), and five great grandsons, Aiden, Ellias, Declan, Dean and Brockton and three great granddaughters, Bella, Audrey and Teagan. Bob loved to cook, baked the best lemon and apple pies, play golf, fly model airplanes and most of all loved being with his family. There was so much to this man. Words are inadequate to describe him and our love for him. Robert was not only a beloved husband and father but also a devoted and loyal friend to all who knew him. He will be missed every moment of every day. John Thomson John Thomson passed away June 27, 2014, at 86. John was born in Bolton Lancashire, England to John and Margaret Thomson on July 11, 1927. John was married to his wife Winnie for 62 happy years. They were sweethearts and best friends. There will be no funeral according to John's wishes. All is well. continued from previous page
