DOLLARS & SENSE At the July Board of Directors meeting, the Board approved the following expenses: 1. Camcorder and tripod: $500 2. Walkway and parking lot striping: $210 3. Equipment storage shed: $400 4. CPR and AED Training Equipment: $850 DELEgAtE REDiStRictiNg The proposed district map was available for homeowner review in the lobby last month. Several comments and questions were presented to the Board of Directors for consideration. At the July Board of Directors meeting, the Board approved to forward the proposed map to K. Hovnanian for recordation. Within the next couple of month, the Homeowners will be receiving an Amendment to the CC&R's for the purpose of re-designating delegate districts. SpEED Limit The speed limit within the community is 25 miles per hour. The Beaumont Police Department has been working with the association to enforce this restriction. During their patrols, several citations have been issued; however, the court system has subsequently requested a traffic study be conducted to determine the appropriate speed for the community. A traffic study is being conducted and the requested report will be submitted to the Court. We anticipate that patrols will begin soon. Citations will again be given to anyone caught speeding. PLEASE SLOW DOWN! 8 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2014 | COMMUNITy NEwS Manager's Update By Jeri Mupo, General Manager Q: is there a process to help new residents orient themselves to the gym? i am afraid i might break something or otherwise hurt myself without instruction. – rhonda Boulan A: No, there is no orientation short of hiring a personal trainer. However the signs on the equipment give a general idea of how use it — and others who use the gym are usually happy to give you pointers between their sets. Q: Are seeing eye dogs and other assistance dogs allowed in the lodge? – Daphne mcmillan A: Yes, but they must be certified service dogs with a license and wearing a working vest and accompanied by their owners. They are not allowed on the Lodge furniture and cannot be in a doggy stroller. Q: can anyone use the barbeques in the Pool Area? – susanne Jaffe A: Yes, any resident. The barbeques are available on a first-come-first-served basis, so check with the Lodge Desk. Users must supply all utensils, paper and plastic goods and the like. Glass is not permitted in the Pool Area. Before leaving, the user must remove all trash, turn off the grill and generally leave the area as clean as it was before use.
