1 package McCormick® Recipe Inspirations Apple and Sage
Pork Chops, which includes the following spices:
1 1/2 teaspoons sage, rubbed
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
1 teaspoon thyme leaves
1/2 teaspoon allspice, ground
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon salt
4 boneless pork chops, 1-inch thick (about 1 1/4 pounds)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 red apples, thinly sliced
1 cup apple juice
1 tablespoon brown sugar
I recently discovered McCormick's has prepackaged spices for specific recipes called Recipe Inspirations. Each packet contains
pre-measured spices and herbs necessary to make a unique dinner entree. The recipe is printed on the back. I visited McCormick's
website and confirmed they have numerous recipe packets to choose from.
I selected the Apple & Sage Pork Chops and was very happy with the results. The apple and pork flavors were truly enhanced by the
sage. This recipe is delicious, low calorie and inexpensive to make. You'll get compliments any time it's served. I'm going to substitute
peaches for apples next time. Oh, boy, a whole new taste.
