| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | September 2014 | 16 Social Committee Rain… and in August in Southern California! Can you believe it?!? It made for a new adventure, anyway. A lot of people stayed after the band could no longer play and the rain was still coming down. Four Seasons people know how to adapt to a situation, don't we? We could not have planned a party like that! Not one complaint was heard. What could we do about it… just go with the flow. Janice DePew and her team of volunteers worked hard to set things up and decorate with the lights. We appreciate all the effort they put in for the party. Janice is working on rescheduling with the Hotel California band. We have the master list of all the people who paid and the seating chart. Stay tuned for further information on the rescheduled date. Linda Atkins and her Splash Party volunteers have a wonderful evening planned for us on Sept. 6. Early September is a great time to enjoy our beautiful pool and the surrounding area. Getting wet is optional, we hope. (It can't rain again, can it?). Come and enjoy a pleasant evening by the pool with swimming (if you want), games, music, good food, and lots of fun with your friends Sept. 27 brings us a new and different idea for a great evening. Chris Pounders and her team have put together a Dinner Theater Night with The Four Season Players and the Vintage Voices. They will be performing songs and excerpts from many great Broadway Musicals we know and love. Don't forget to put Oct. 31 on your calendar. Sharon Sims and her committee volunteers are planning an elegant Halloween Party. Costumes are optional and they don't have to be elegant. Many people in our community do like to dress up so it will be fun to see what some of the members dream up to wear. Our annual New Year's Eve party will be headed this year by Linda Gentile. She and her committee have already started to work on the plans. They have some new ideas that will make it fun for all of us. What a night to remember… we were dancing in the rain. And as George said "we are not afraid of a little rain," but by the forth song it was pouring. I want to give a big thank you to my committee: Barb Rago, Carole Barber, Royce Jerman, Judy Capps & Beverly Rockvam, and to all of you who helped — you are the best. Also thanks to the Guitar Club… great job! And just think, we get to do it all over again. Fun fun fun! ~ Janice Depew
