These dedicated ladies work so hard to learn the precise routines. Much needed exercise is gained from the classes as well. Not a one is under 60, and many are in their late 80s. The importance of using the body and brain for the goal of learning the routines is the big pay-off. Not only do they learn to perform, they stay shape, and their self esteem is enhanced. The showcase for 2015 will be in July and work underway to make afabulous show. The intent of the showcase is to perform what has been worked on all year for the families of the participants, as well as many friends and neighbors. Of course, anyone is welcome to purchase a ticket. Let us entertain you! Stardust Dancers We're going to celebrate Brazil, the country where the next Olympics will be held, this month on Thurs., Sept. 11, at 5:30 pm. Sign ups are Thurs., Sept. 4, at 3 pm in the North Clubhouse. Cost is $22 for members, $25 for non-resident guests. The Sophisticats will entertain and music starts at 6 pm. Buffet by table call starts at 6:30 pm. The menu includes cole slaw with pineapple corn bread with corn kernels and butter, cajun chicken pasta, kielbasa sausage, red beans and rice, green beans, spumoni ice cream, coffee and iced tea. We sell 50/50 tickets and $150 will go to the two charities we support on an alternating basis. The balance goes to winners of the drawing. International Culture Club Our dinner and international fashion show titled A Night To Remember is Sat., Sept. 13 from 5 to 9 pm in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. We hope all those planning to attend the show have already purchased their tickets ($35 pp). If not please call Nora Huffman at 845-8333 for ticket availability information. Please be prepared when you call to tell Nora your meal choice of pork tenderloin with mango salsa or champagne salmon as there is a cutoff date required by the restaurant. As stated earlier this is our annual fund raiser and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to charity. There will be 50-50 tickets sold and prizes to be won. Good luck to all. Guest performers are Evelyn Hawkins' Stardust Dancers and one of everyone's favorite singers, Gaylord Spence. Our members have diligently worked all year to bring new dances and beautiful costumes to make this dinner show a special evening. The fashion show is something to see with all new outfits of the country each member has chosen to represent and we truly believe it WILL BE A NIGHT TO REMEMBER! International Dancers Our last dinner was hamburgers and hot dogs with all the trimmings catered by Skip. Our entertainment was provided by that great stand up comedian, our own Warren Taylor. September is a catered dinner $10 per person to Dianna reservations by Aug. 31, 845-1182. We meet the 2nd Saturday of every month at the South Clubhouse at 3 pm.
