On Wed., Sept. 24, at 1 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose
Room, we will have as our guest speaker, Bud Minor. Bud was one
of the founding members of the society and he will be speaking
on the topic "Researching Obituaries." He will discuss how to
locate someone from archival newspapers, how to analyze the
family information within, and also how to write an obituary for
someone. Bud has also written family history books of his own
family which are very well done. He always inspires us to continue
researching and writing about our families and their stories.
We invite all to come to our meetings and bring your stories
and questions regarding research. There just may be a member
who has an idea for you that will help you on your road to finding

Our next meeting is Thurs., Sept. 18, at 1 pm in the Main
Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. Bring your questions and
concerns.
Membership dues are $20 dollars per year per family.
We are on our summer schedule. We only meet on the
3rd Thursday of July, August, and September.
August's topic was email: How to set up a new email
account and using multiple email accounts.
