September brought more new members, as we continued
studying 1 Corinthians 13:5-6 (pride, rudeness, self-seeking,
anger, etc.). The women consistently contribute valuable
insights and experiences to this study. It is always interesting
to share different versions of the Bible, as well as individual
thoughts and perceptions pertinent to the subject being
discussed. In late September and most of October we will be
studying the Bible's counsel on grudges, ridding our lives of
evil (what constitutes evil and how to expunge it), and learning
what is truth and how to rejoice in it. The November lessons
will teach us the very positive messages in verse 7.
We voted to have a Christmas potluck party on Dec. 19. We
will have all the yummy fare these amazing women produce, as
well as an inspirational program and lots of surprises!
If you are interested in increasing your knowledge of the
Bible, its messages and guidance for our lives, and would enjoy
learning with a beautiful group of women, please consider
joining us every Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 am in the
first section of the Ballroom. If you have never owned or read
the Bible, please come! We are certainly not all scholars, and
our group is non-denominational. We are all learning together
the teachings of the Bible and its instruction to become better
