In our 8-Ball Tournament, Joe Avilas proved you're never
too old to play or to win. Joe went into the finals undefeated.
Thanh Harrah lost one game in regular play (to Joe). She went
on to defeat several opponents and made the finals to match up
against Joe again.
Joe only needed one win to be the champion. In the finals,
Thanh won the first game using her trademark defensive
positioning, however, Joe won Game 2 making him the
tournament champion.
The 9-Ball champion this month was Rick Loney. Rick went
into the final match undefeated and faced Ray Windhorn (a
rematch of their epic battle two months ago). Ray needed to
beat Rick twice to win. Ray made the 9 ball in the first game,
banking the cue ball off of the 4 ball, into the 9 ball and making
the 9 ball in the corner pocket. In game 2 Rick banked the cue
ball off the rail into the 5 ball, which then hit the 9 ball rolling it
into the side pocket and winning the tournament.
Our tournaments are fun and exciting to play in and watch.
Our experienced players are always willing to help with a
shot, putting their years of experience to use in helping our
less experienced players. We play/practice together at 7 pm
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings.
Monthly 8-Ball Club meetings are on the first Wednesday of
the month at 7 pm.
The in-house 8-Ball Tournament is on the second Wednesday
at 7 pm.
In-house 9-Ball Tournament is now on the fourth Wednesday
of the month at 7 pm.
Our "traveling tournaments" are the second and fourth
Monday of the month. The second Monday, we travel to Hemet
Solera and the fourth Monday Solera Hemet comes here.
