Four Seasons Players Thank you all for participating in our September Dinner Theatre Musical Gala event. We sure had fun and all the work prior to the performance was definitely worth it. We will work on something for next year, maybe a mystery dinner theatre if we can find the right material. For now, we will be reviewing material for next year's performances and try to again bring you fresh and enjoyable theatre. Our group has really matured over the years. Here is a little history of our group. Remember when we first started and did shows in the card room? We had people standing outside in the hallway trying to see what we were doing. Then, we moved into the Ballroom and did radio shows with sound effects with different materials to replicate our sound effects. Howard Feigenbaum did a great job with jars of coins, door bells, cookie sheets and pans to create thunder and lightening, and much more. Then we added music, costumes and singing for several family shows. Those were the days. Now, we have professional equipment and mikes with Ross Brunetto and Don Ortega at the controls creating real sound effects and controlling mikes. And our pricing has not changed much over the years. We started at $5 and then a few years ago went to $7 per person. This allowed us to buy all the new equipment for your enjoyment. And of course, don't forget the stage. Thanks to the Board, we were able to buy it and get ourselves off the floor and up so you could see us better. The stage does not belong to FSP but to the whole association so anyone who needs it can use it. What is ahead for us? Probably the next purchase will be in the form of lighting. We need better lighting to create a more "theatre- like" atmosphere. Don and Ross will work on that for us. Stay tuned, more to come. We will take a little break now until early next year to get prepared for another season. Again, if you want to join us we meet at 1 pm in the Ballroom on the third Friday of each month. New members are always welcome. Don't worry if you don't have any acting experience. All you need is desire and we will teach you the rest. So, until next time, have a great October and enjoy cooler weather.
