7 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | October 2014 | By Louise Ceccarelli Fall is officially here. This is my favorite season — I love the colors, the weather, the holidays, the food! October brings us some fun times here at Four Seasons as well. Here are some events to watch for through the end of the year: oct. 3: Flu shot clinic in the Multipurpose Room from 8 am – 2 pm. Flu shots are free to residents with Medicare Part B. Please RESERVE your shot at the front desk NOW. oct. 4: indoor swAP meet. This is a yearly event that will be in the Ballroom. Come see what treasures you just can't live without. oct. 14: music on the PlAzA — Bruce gloVer: JAzz/rhythm & Blues. Cost: just $5/person. Bring your own chair, snacks, drinks, etc. 5 -7 pm. Wristbands on sale at the front desk. oct. 25: sAVe the dAte! cAr show & street FAir. This year will be even better than last. If you know someone who has a car, hot rod, rat rod, truck or motorcycle they would like to show, you may pick up a registration form at the front desk. Your friends and family are welcome to attend. The Trolley will be back this year to provide transportation around the community. We have food trucks and concessionaires as well. There will be a live band and a DJ in the Beer & Wine Garden area for your enjoyment. Plus lots of art (in the Ballroom) and crafts in the big tent, as well as a bounce house for the kiddies. You won't want to miss this event. oct. 31: "An enchAnted eVening" hAlloween celeBrAtion. This party will be a whole new twist on Halloween, so get your costumes ready, get your tickets early and be prepared for a fun and elegant Halloween. noV. 9: "A triBute to VeterAns" will be held in the Ballroom featuring the Southwest Women's Chorus from Temecula. Tickets will be available the first of October and will be FREE, but you must have a ticket to attend the program as seating is limited to 334 in the Ballroom. There will be a parade of colors, slide show, musical presentation and dessert. Fliers are available at the information counter in the Lodge. noV. 27: thAnksgiVing dAy. The Bistro will be putting on their annual Thanksgiving Dinner. Please watch for ticket and reservation information the first of November. The Lodge will close early that evening to allow staff to enjoy dinner with their families as well. noV. 29: christmAs decorAtions will go uP in the lodge. Be here at 8 am if you would like to help. Dana and her team will direct the volunteers — many hands make light work — but what beauty they create! dec. 1: holidAy home decorAting contest — get your homes ready for the community decorating contest. Register your home at the Lodge between Nov. 28 and Dec. 7 to be included. Winners will be announced at the Vintage Voices Holiday Music Show after the Golf Cart parade on Dec. 14. dec. 4: re-do on hotel cAliForniA concert — watch for more information. dec. 13: holidAy home tour (noon to 4 pm) to benefit the Angel Tree. Tickets will be available at the Lodge in December to view peoples homes for the holidays. All monies collected help purchase gifts for needy children. dec. 14: grAndPArents And grAndkids Picture dAy with Santa & Mrs. Claus from 2 to 4 pm in the Lodge, followed by the Golf Cart Parade and then the Vintage Voices Holiday Music program.
