Our life style at Sun Lakes probably heads the list for most of us. Dinner Dance Club members will again have a wonderful evening of fine dining and enjoyable dancing. On Sat., Nov. 22, our members will listen to the melodic sounds of "Skyline Express," who will play from 6 to 9:30 pm for your listening and dancing pleasure. The evening will begin at 5:00 with a free, half-hour dance lesson. "Dress" attire is the recommended attire for the evening. The menu offers an excellent variety from which to select. The meal will begin with an almond mandarin salad with the following entrées: (1) Cranberry chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans for $21; ( 2) Pork loin with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans for $21; or; (3) Portobello mushroom stuffed with mashed potatoes and green onions for $19. The meal ends with a delicious pumpkin crunch cake. Sign ups for this dance will be Thurs., Nov. 13 in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. Table selections begin at 2:30 pm so come early to have all paper work completed before that time. If you sign up but find that you are unable to attend, please contact Carol at 845-5962 before 3 pm on the day of the dance. She will help you get your meal to take home and enjoy. May one and all have a very wonderful Thanksgiving! Dinner Dance Club The Black and White Ball is just around the corner! This is a very special and elegant evening so make your plans now. Black and white attire will be the order of the evening (optional, of course) Thurs., Nov. 6, is the date with the doors opening at 5:30 pm and music starting at 6 pm in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. A carving station will be set with strip loin and au jus, turkey with gravy and cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and green beans, served dinner salad with choice of two dressings, rolls and carrot cake for dessert. Elections for your new board will be held at the Black & White Ball. Ok, we're getting ready for the hectic holiday season, so here we go. Our first November dance is Fri., Nov. 14 at 7 pm. Our second dance this month will be our traditional Friday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 28. After an exhausting day at the mall, come and have a relaxing time dancing off a few calories. To make this dance extra special we are going to make this a FREE night, but we will be collecting donations for our traditional "Holiday Wish Program." We know that you will have a few extra holiday dollars to contribute this year just as you have been most generous in previous years. All our dances are in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom from 7 to 9 pm. Our line dance instruction will be in the South Clubhouse on Mondays, Nov. 3, 10, 17 and 24 from 7 to 8:30 pm. Couples instruction will be on Tuesdays, Nov. 11 and 25, from 7 to 8 pm in the South Clubhouse. Don't forget about the New Year's Eve dance at the North Clubhouse. Country Western Dance Big Band Dance We meet from 5:30 to 8:30 pm Sat., Nov. 15 in the Main Clubhouse. Help us make this the best it can be. We have your songs in your key. Come on out and meet your neighbors, let your hair down, sing a little song, do a little dance, have some fun. Plus, it's free.
