It is not too late. If interested please call Teri Comerford at 760- 217-9656. One of the advantages of bowling over golf is that you seldom lose a bowling ball. Home Again Bowling Our fall/winter league started with scores as hot as the sizzling summer weather! Apparently some bowlers were not able to "sandbag" the first week. Ken Smelker 268, Bob Greb 267 and Larry Stormes 255 led the men's scratch high games. Louise Deal 180, Yvonne Wood 178, and Dianne Everley 177 were tops for the women's high scratch game scores. High scratch series scores were 707 for Bob Greb, 662 for Ken Smelker, and 658 for George Thiel. Women's high scratch series scores were Yvonne Wood 519, Dianne Everley 513, and Louise Deal 512. Congratulations you high rollers! With 30 weeks to go, the rest of the bowlers will be shooting at these great scores! This is a fun league with a handicap system that levels the playing field for all members. Good luck to one and all, and let the pins fall where they may. Age is no problem and aches and pains come and go! Just remember, there are no lost balls in this sport! HOLD THE PRESSES, Bob Greb wasn't thru after the 1st week. He topped his 277 score with a SUPER 299 score on Sept. 24. Now sporting a 218 average, he got into cruise control on Oct. 1 with games of 247- 235-246 for a scratch series of 728. His four week average is now an "Out of Sight" 224.67. WOW! After four weeks of the Winter League, Home Again bowlers at Moreno Valley have been hotter than the weather! In addition to Bob Greb and his incredible start to the first four Wednesdays, Gail Stormes 182, Pat Sedlacek 182, Lil McLean 180 and Louise Deal 180 games and Ginger Chavez 505 series for the Ladies. Larry Stormes and Bob McLean each scored 255 games for the men. Looking forward to a great fall/winter season with more fantastic scores.
