CLUBS & GROUPS | FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2014 35
I know I wrote about the Laugh Out Loud show in the
October issue, but actually when I did, the show had not yet
been performed. Now that it has, WOW…WOW…WOW! I
must congratulate the producers and the entire cast for their
time, persistence, and willingness to have a fun, silly time! It
certainly paid off as I received compliments from so many
people saying it was one of the best shows the Performing
Arts Club (PAC) has ever put on. With responses like that, rest
assured, there will be more coming.
On a more current note, the Radio Shows: besides the
fact that they are the easiest entry into PAC, it requires no
memorization. You read straight from a script and we do have
rehearsals. If you're not into acting, then attending our Radio
Shows makes for an extremely inexpensive Friday night out at
the Lodge. There is no charge to attend the Radio Show. All you
need to do is bring your favorite beverage and dinner from the
Bistro or home. Come in, sit down, relax and enjoy the show,
just like so many of you did on Oct. 10. Thank you again for
your continued participation and attendance to these shows.
This time we presented another episode of The Lone Ranger, a
fan fave… and introduced a new show, My Favorite Husband,
(the same show that Lucille Ball got her start in show business).
The actors did a great job and the audience loved us. What was
so great, due to our open auditions, between the two shows, I
believe we had four new actors join the Performing Arts Club.
I urge all residents to get involved in some way, whether it's
technical, production, onstage, behind the stage, sound effects,
whatever. Trust me, we're not a rules and regs group, we're a
fun group!
Finally, the Holiday Show will be on Dec. 5 and 6. Decide
which day is best for you and put it on your calendar NOW! I
assure you, it's going to be fabulous, maybe our best ever, and
definitely, family friendly.
