Rather than try and convince you loyal Breeze readers that we have an amazing group of people playing billiards for fun, we decided to interview members and get their feedback as to what they find so fun and satisfying about this group. Marvin Gaines said, "I have a great time with these wonderful people." See? Validation. Dave Martin said, "enjoys the sociality," and Richard Carrasco added, "These are the nicest people in the whole wide world." And they are all at Four Seasons - and in our group! Some of the other players expressed how their game has improved, while just having fun. Mike Saperstein said, "I don't feel any pressure to make a shot," while Bob Berwin said, "I enjoy playing competitively with two-member teams." Lee Harris said, "I have learned a lot about angles and bank shots by watching other players." Ron Erickson, who has been a member of this group since its inception in August of 2012, said, "During the past two years since each member of the group has increased their individual skill level, and the competitiveness level has increased simultaneously." Rich Meumann concurred. Dee Kelch is "impressed with how respectful each member is with each person's skill level," and Norma Jean Cohen likes the fact that "there are more men than women in the group." Mike Olsen "enjoys the genuine camaraderie," and Gaylord Jamerson said, "I'm just thrilled to be able to get out of the house for a couple of hours, and do something I enjoy." Proof of all the above quotes are validated by the photos adjacent to this article. If you want to get out of the house for a couple of hours and do something really fun with a great group of people, come join us every Tuesday from 1 to 3 pm in the Billiards Room. There is also an informal practice session on Saturdays from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm as well. Come check us out. You won't be disappointed. ~ Eileen Gilbert-Antoine SPORTS & OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES | FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2014 43 Billiards for Fun Grinning Willis Fagan gives bunny ears to Bob Rector during weekly play Pete Antoine is dressed to impress as he prepares his next shot.
