CLUBS & GROUPS | FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2014 29 We meet the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Craft Room at the Lodge. Our November meeting will be Nov. 18. Visitors are always welcome. We invite all photographers, regardless of skill level, to join us for our regular meetings and field trips. Members are always eager to help and teach. We discuss photography, photo software, hardware, and related subjects of interest. On a voluntary basis, members offer their photographs for critique, which is a great learning experience for all. Our alternative photo project is ongoing (i.e. we bring a picture of a specific genre we all agree on). For the October meeting, the assignment was to bring an HDR (High Dynamic Range) picture photographed according to the specifications we discussed in the September meeting. As always, this is an optional assignment. The members do not have to do it, but it is a great learning experience if they do. Lots of really neat and creative pictures were presented. Last month, I wrote that our chairperson, George Johnson, is planning to start a series of programs on the basics of digital photography. We already discussed how a digital camera works and HDR photography. Following topics will be panoramas, then HDR panos (yes, this is not a typo), point and shoot camera operation, post processing, composition, and many more topics. Stay tuned for dates and times. It is hard to believe it will soon be Thanksgiving. That means lots of photographs which we'll be discussing in our future meetings. Hope to see you soon.
