COMMUNITY NEWS | FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2014 9 Neighborly Notes By Bobbie Eckel DAyliGht sAvinG timE We are finally getting back the hour we lost on March 9. Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, Nov. 2. Turn your clocks back one hour. thAnksGivinG hours Thanksgiving is Nov. 27 this year. Remember that the Lodge hours will be reduced on Wednesday, Nov. 26. The facility will close at 5 pm. On Thanksgiving Day, the Lodge will be open from 8 am until 12 noon only. On Friday, Nov. 28, the Lodge will open at 9 am. GuEst list Please remember to update your guest list at the Potrero Gate. If your guest is not listed, the attendant will have to hold up the entrance process until you can be telephoned. This is not only annoying to your guest, but to the long line of other non-residents waiting for entrance to the holiday feasts. EmErGEncy inFo. This is also a good time to update your emergency information at the Lodge desk. Family situations sometimes change. Be sure that any alteration in your emergency contacts is reflected on the Euclid Management records. That could save precious time in obtaining assistance for residents. GEnErAl ElEction The California General Election is being held on Tuesday, Nov. 4. Our mailboxes have been full of ads for candidates. We should also have received the Official Voter Information Guide and the Supplemental Voter Information Guide. Be sure to read both of them so that you can be an informed voter on the propositions as well as the candidate elections. holiDAy homE tour The Four Seasons Holiday Home Tour is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 13. If you are interested in showing off the special holiday finery of your home, please pick up an application from the Lodge front desk by Saturday, Nov. 29. If you would like more information about the event, call Teri DiMarino-Davidson, (951) 769-4345. lGBt PriDE FEstivAl The 2014 Greater Palm Springs LGBT Pride Festival is being held in Palm Springs on Nov. 8 and 9. A group of Four Seasons residents and your Rainbow Group would like to invite you to go and enjoy it. The Festival is held on both days at Sunrise Park in Palm Springs Stadium; the parade is on Sunday on E. Ramon Road along historic Palm Canyon Drive. If you are interested and would like more details, please see pspride.org for Festival information, parade route and spectator advice. BoArD mEEtinG The BOD General Session will be held at 1 pm on Nov. 13. Plan to take a few minutes of your time to attend. Hopefully the Board will update us on the status of the Aquatic Center as well as other plans. rElAX The months of November and December can be quite intense with many activities and expectations. Take a few minutes to relax and enjoy. Turn the months into "holidays" instead of "holidaze." hA hA A smile for today from an Internet friend: "My grandpa started walking five miles a day when he was 60. Now he's 97 years old and we have no idea where he is."
