We welcome you to the Four Seasons community library. Our residents keep us up to date with new and older fiction hardbound books. There has been lots of activity lately. Many new books to display and a large amount of books "checked out." We thank you for returning three of Clive Cussler's books. Many have been waiting for them. If you have not looked over our non- fiction section please do. It is filled with biographies and a broad range of interesting topics. If you cannot reach the non-fiction section please go to the front desk and ask someone to help. Our magazine rack holds three months of donated material. As of this writing please bring September, October, and November magazines for us to display. After reading them please be sure to return them for others to read. As a reminder, we accept paperback books written in 2010 and more current. We don't know what happened to most of the authors beginning with A-D. One day the shelf was full the next day it was almost empty. We display all that we receive so do bring some of those authors back. We do have a children's selection of movies in the long cabinets underneath the "R" fiction shelf. Feel free to bring the grandchildren and let them pick out a movie. It would be nice to have some children's DVDs donated. Under the "C" fiction shelf we have an audio book section. There are both tapes and CDs. Please try to keep them separated and stored in their designated box. For information about other areas please refer to our library directory next to our return box. The library committee is comprised of residents who enjoy reading and have a desire to keep our library in order. We all enjoy working there and ask that you please let us do our job. Please don't put your books away. Committee member Cookie wishes to thank the resident who recommended Rebecca Wells book The Crowning Glory of Calla Lily Ponder. I almost cried at the end… because it was ending! It is the life of Calla Lily born in La Luna Louisiana. We follow her and her amazingly different family to her first love, Tuck. You will become involved with her two best friends, especially Sukey who seems to make all the wrong choices. Calla Lily's mother was a hairdresser with the "gift" of healing as she worked her magic with her clients. Calla Lily had the same gift and when of age moved to New Orleans to study under Ricky Chalon. The very best in hair care. Throughout the book you are following eagerly what life puts in front of Calla Lily and her choices. She then meets a man named Sweet and they become man and wife. I could write dozens of paragraphs but I don't want to give anything away. You will laugh and you will cry. But you will be eager to pick the book up every night. I will mention that she sees her first love, Tuck, at the ending of her story. You will find Calla Lily Ponder in the paperback section. Do yourself a favor and borrow the book!
