In September security received a report of theft of decorative rock from a resident's yard. Be vigilant if you are in the process of making improvements to your property. The month also saw four incidents involving breaks of the gate arm on World Cup Ave., due to tailgating. Regardless what precipitated the encounters, we need to pay close attention as we enter our grounds. Because we have cameras that capture these encroachments, each culprit was identified and had to pay for the repair of the gate arm. This is an error that can become very expensive very fast. We are encountering cars parked more than 18 inches from the curb. This is a particularly bad idea on the curving areas of our streets and presents a hazard for drivers navigating the curves. Please be cautious and mindful when parking your car. Many residents wait until the last minute to register the arrival of guest and service providers, then call the gate to say they are coming. This interruption causes an undue burden on the guards, traffic backups, and long delays while security tries to reach the resident. If the resident is not reached, the visitor must be turned away. Please remember that you are to register your guest and/or service providers in advance of their arrival (preferably 24 hours) using the Dwelling Live system.
