The new building will provide opportunities to take a variety of classes that transfer and are associate degree applicable. It is Crafton's goal is to schedule activity classes that are fun and will inspire you to continue your participation beyond your college experience. Lynch Flower Shop's new owner Sophia Truong, her family and the Chamber of Commerce celebrated Lynch's grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony in November. Sophia has a well-stocked flower shop and creates beautiful arrangements for all occasions, you may even stop in and pick up a bunch. Ribbon Cuttings Senator Morrell Recognizes & Honors Local Businesses Senator Mike Morrell (R-Rancho Cucamonga) held a Meet & Greet at the Yucaipa Chamber office in October. Among other items he discussed he spoke about the 4th Annual Top Chamber Business Awards to be held in November at the University of Redlands. The event is designed to highlight the work of businesses from across the 23rd Senate District. Local chambers of commerce submit names of businesses to be recognized at the luncheon for their contributions to the Inland Empire economy and their commitment to the community. Additionally, each chamber selects one business to be recognized as a top chamber business for 2014. These announcements are revealed the day of the event. "The Top Chamber Business Awards is a way for us to honor local businesses that have given much to the community and have helped the region weather the recent economic downturn," said Morrell. "Their leadership is what will drive the growth of the Inland Empire for years to come. It's my privilege to work with our chambers to recognize these honorees for their entrepreneurial spirit." Many of the attendees took the opportunity to speak with Senator Morrell about their various concerns. The Senator's field representative David Matza holds business hours at the Chamber office the third Tuesday of the month from 9 am to 1 pm. Tom and Andrea Arriola opened Pickers Paradise featuring six different vendor areas with a vast array of shabby chic, collectibles, tea sets all nicely displayed. There is even a jeweler on site that offers jewelry repair and custom made pieces.
