Happy holidays from the Neighborhood Watch! As 2014 winds down, we reflect on all the great events we shared this year. Anita Worthen outdid herself providing us with wonderful speakers, informative discussions and promoting our program to new residents. Our steering committee is proud to present its new members: Jill Anderson, Judy Irving and Pat Warman, who are filled with new ideas and plans to put these ideas into action in 2015. We will celebrate the holiday season on Dec. 10 at 10 am in the Ballroom with a fantastic brunch, with food provided by our members. We invite any of you who would like to learn more about our program as well as how to become a Block Captain for your street, to join us for a morning of fun, friendship and lots of great food. See you there. ~ Jill Anderson 20 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2014 | COMMUNITy NEWS Neighborhood Watch At our October meeting, the Financial Statements for September were reviewed and reflected the following significant items: Net Income Year-to-Date was $129,649 and total reserves were $4,540,304. The Accounts Receivable (delinquencies) were $49,454. Our total HOA expenses for September (excluding reserve allocations) were $215,469. This was under budget by $39,518. Jeri Mupo, General Manager, confirmed the possible reasons for higher than normal water costs: hot weather and assumption of responsibility for new water meters. She also noted that, though new water conservation measures could bring costs down, water district bond payments increasing water costs will continue to push our own costs up as long as the drought continues. A general discussion was conducted regarding concerns about electric, telephone, security, janitorial, consulting services and irrigation repair expenses. The Front Yard Cost Center expenses for September were under the monthly budget by $8,222. The Springdale Cost Center Expenses for September were under the monthly budget by $271. There were 10 CD renewals reviewed and a recommendation to renew at the best prevailing rate not to exceed six months was sent to the Board. There were five vendor proposals presented and sent to the Board with recommendations for approval. Accounts Receivable update: there are no new delinquencies. Our next meeting will be held Jan. 27, at 1 pm in the Lodge Conference Room. All homeowners are encouraged to attend. ~ Noel Myers Finance Committee
