COMMUNITy NEWS | FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2014 7 Neighborly Notes By Bobbie Eckel Holiday Waste RemindeR: Waste Management will pick up Christmas trees for the first two weeks following Christmas on your regular collection day. Trees taller than six feet must be cut in half. Please remove all decorations, including tinsel, ornaments, lights and tree stands. Flocked trees will be collected but cannot be recycled. Christmas Day falls on a Thursday this year. There will be no changes in Waste Management pick up for the month. GeneRal Waste manaGement: Reminder to new residents: Four Seasons trash bins are normally collected on Tuesdays. Please place all waste in the appropriate container (trash cart: burgundy which is for household waste which cannot be recycled; gray recycling bin which contains newspapers, cardboard, aluminum cans, plastics, etc.; green waste carts which contains grass, tree branches, garden trimmings, etc.). Carts should be placed at the curb by 6 am on your pick-up day. Carts should have handles facing your home and should be at least two feet apart to allow for the truck arms to envelope the bin and dump your bin material into the truck bed. Waste Management requests that you do not place green waste (in your green bins) into plastic bags. Pick up schedules will be changed only on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day if they make a difference to your normal pick-up day. lodGe Holiday HoURs: Lodge holiday hours for Christmas, Dec. 25, are the same as for previous years.
